Teestavalley Power Transmission Ltd. (TPTL) is a Joint Venture between Sikkim Urja Ltd. (SUL - A Govt. of Sikkim Enterprise) and Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (PGCIL – A Govt. of India Enterprise). SUL is a majority shareholder of this Company and holds 69.08 % of equity shares while PGCIL holds 30.92 %. The Company is a subsidiary of TUL and has completed the work of construction of 400 kV Double Circuit Quad Moose Transmission Line from Mangan in Sikkim to Kishanganj Pooling Station in Bihar so as to wheel out the power of Teesta-III HEP (1200 MW) and other projects of Sikkim. The Project of the Company has achieved its Commercial Operation Date (COD) on 13th February, 2019.
TPTL has been envisaged as a subsidiary company of TUL and has completed the work of Inter State Transmission System in the states of Sikkim, West Bengal and Bihar.
